About Dimensions

As a full-time undergraduate student at GWU you’ll be required to attend 10 Dimensions programs a semester for four semesters (or until two credit hours have been fulfilled). Part-time students must earn a half-credit hour (one semester) for every 15 hours of credits earned until two credit hours have been fulfilled.

Dimensions is held on Tuesdays at 9:30 am in Tucker Student Center, Stewart Hall unless otherwise noted.

Students enrolled in Dimensions swipe their ID cards upon entering the program. Current students enrolled in Tuesday Dimensions can check their attendance through the WebbConnect portal. Any questions or discrepancies should be discussed with Teresa Davis at (704) 406-4277, tdavis@gardner-webb.edu, or in Tucker Student Center 231.

Comedian magician, Trent James is bringing a fresh feel to the classic magic show! Having received over twenty high honor awards, as well as being the youngest recipient of The Milbourne Christopher Award (Past winners include David Copperfield and Penn & Teller) Trent is quickly becoming one of the top magicians in the country.

Trent’s fast-paced show is loaded with humor, audience participation and mind-boggling magic that will entertain all ages. Each performance is flexible and can range from fifteen to seventy-five minutes in length. While sometimes a formal show might not be the best fit, Trent’s intimate strolling magic complements nearly any atmosphere, from cocktail parties to business meetings. Guests will witness mysteries right under their noses.

Grace Graber is the voice of a rising movement of people who believe that faith and mental health don’t just coexist — they’re powerfully intertwined. With a bold pop punk sound in the heartfelt tradition of artists like Avril Lavigne, Grace combines raw storytelling with a viral social media presence that has earned her over 70,000 followers on Instagram and 50,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. Her authenticity and advocacy have
struck a chord with fans navigating the messy intersection of belief and mental health — a message that’s become her ministry.

Grace first caught national attention when she was named The Next Big Thing at the WeLove Christian Music Awards in 2021. That momentum soared in 2025 when her debut album The Breakthrough won Pop Album of the Year at the same awards. The project offers an unflinching look at her personal mental health journey while extending solidarity and hope to others walking the same road. Tracks like “Grace of God” and “Breakthrough”
aren't just songs — they’re lifelines for listeners who see themselves in Grace’s story.

Once a suicidal teenager battling PTSD from relentless bullying, Grace found hope through music — particularly in a Hawk Nelson song that helped her hold on. Years later, in a beautiful full-circle moment, she collaborated with Hawk Nelson’s founding vocalist Jason Dunn on “This One’s For You,” a track from her Conversations EP written for anyone in that same dark place.

Each chapter of her story is reflected in The Breakthrough, a project built on the belief that God can use every broken piece of our lives. Now, Grace is continuing to release new music and is currently working on her highly anticipated sophomore album.

Grace explains, “Breakthrough for me has been realizing I need to accept every single piece of my life as it is and learn to love it. I hope someone hears this album and thinks, ‘she seems like she could be my friend.’ That’s who I want to be — the best friend for the misfits, the girls who don’t feel cool. I want them to see that being completely yourself is enough, and that even in what seems broken, God’s light shines through in beautiful ways.”

It’s been said that “Tough Times Don’t Last But Tough People Do.” Well, if that is the case, how do we toughen ourselves as people with the necessary resilience to flourish? Where does resilience come from in life development? Is it just something that you are born with or is it something that can be made?

Join us for this two-part PACE seminar with Gardner-Webb University Adjunct Professor and Trustee Ray Hardee. Not only will you learn from biblical heroes, but also the principles of spiritual resilience that they developed that helped them to stand when things got tough.

Students who are riding in University-provided transportation will meet no later than 7:00 pm in the LYCC Parking Lot. All students are required to sign a Transportation Liability Form, which will be provided on the day of the trip.

Bus riders, you are also responsible for getting back on the bus as soon as the event is over. If, for some unforeseen circumstance, you are not going to make it back on the bus, please contact me ASAP so the bus is not waiting for you!

Gardner-Webb’s 11th Annual Double Dawg Day is April 16

Gardner-Webb University’s annual Double Dawg Day is celebrating its ninth year on April 16. The campus community—along with alumni, friends, and longtime supporters—have an opportunity to surpass last year’s giving and score a record-breaking total for the ninth year in a row.

Donors can choose the people, programs and causes they want to support across the GWU campus. Some options include:

University Priority Fund, which supports the greatest needs of the University.

Annual Fund, which supports student scholarships.

School/College Priority Fund, which provides the dean with the ability to respond quickly to emerging opportunities, transform the student experience and strengthen operational capacity.

The University’s 22 athletic teams.

Become an Ambassador

In addition to making a gift, individuals can sign up to be a Social Media Ambassadors (also known as advocates this year). Social Media Ambassadors/Advocates share their love for Gardner-Webb on all of their social media channels. Registration will be available shortly.

Commencement will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, in LYCC.

Undergraduate Ceremony: 9 a.m.Graduate Ceremony: 2 p.m.Graduate students will be formally hooded during the ceremony. All participating graduates will have their names read and will walk across the stage.
