About this Event
Every year, members from Gardner-Webb's AX chapter attend the AX National Convention. This 2-day event includes opportunities for students to network with members from other AX chapters, hear about national AX news, brainstorm and plan for the coming year, and present their own scholarship in poster and oral presentations. GWU also sends a collaborative research team that competes against other schools in a group research project complete with a paper, poster, oral presentation, and Q&A session. The Convention also includes time to tour sites around the host city (Birmingham Alabama for 2024). The theme for the colalborative project and the competition is "Leaders in Tumultuous Times," focusing on historical and present-day civil rights issues.
