North–South Barbecue Bowl: Clash of the Carolinas

The rivalry returns to Boiling Springs as the Runnin’ Bulldogs host Charleston Southern in the North–South Barbecue Bowl. The teams will battle for the North–South BBQ Trophy, a hefty hog with an engraved plate for each year’s winner.

The stakes? Bragging rights and barbecue. The losing team must cater a full BBQ feast for the winners—North Carolina–style (Western) or South Carolina–style, as chosen by the victors. If we win, CSU serves us.

This year’s game day will also feature a hilarious student pig-costume race between the schools, plus an opportunity for fans to take photos with the North–South BBQ Trophy.  And don’t miss the first 50 students through the gates—they’ll receive a Gardner-Webb Bulldog–branded clear bag.
