This summer, we will be hosting three campus-wide Service Project Days as an opportunity for faculty and staff to come together, serve others, and make a difference both on our campus and in our community.

The theme for this year's initiative is "Stronger Together. Greater Impact." While the projects may be different, they all support one mission: serving together and living out the values that define Gardner-Webb.

Service Project Dates

• Tuesday, June 16
• Tuesday, July 16
• Thursday, August 6

Schedule

• 8:30 a.m. – Welcome, devotion, and project description
• 9:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. – Morning service projects
• 11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. – Lunch in the cafeteria
• 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Afternoon service projects

Some of the projects currently being planned include:

Furniture Relocation (Spangler to H.A.P.Y.)

• Removing furniture from Spangler Hall, beginning with the first and second floors
• Removing furniture from H.A.P.Y.
• Sorting furniture for storage, giveaway, or disposal

University Commons Beautification

• Cleaning windows
• Removing trash from flower bed areas
• Trimming bushes and trees around buildings
• Weeding flower beds
• Cleaning university grills
• Mulching around apartment and suite buildings
