Veterans Day Prayer Service

Join Gardner-Webb University as we honor our nation’s veterans in a special Veteran’s Day Service. This annual event commemorates the service and sacrifices of students, alumni, and friends who have answered the call to serve their country.

Featured Speaker
Corp. Brandon Blair
A decorated U.S. Marine Corps veteran and senior pastor of Langston Baptist Church in Conway, S.C., Corp. Brandon Blair served in the Marine Corps infantry as a machine gunner, completing two full combat tours in Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. In 2006, while in Fallujah, Iraq, he received the Purple Heart. Blair holds degrees from Southeastern and Fruitland Baptist Bible College in biblical studies and lives in South Carolina with his wife, Tristan, and their three children.

• Closing Song: “America the Beautiful,” performed by Lindy Bryson
• Closing Prayer: Dr. Josh Parrott, Vice President and University Chaplain

The Gardner-Webb ROTC will open the service by presenting the colors, setting a respectful and patriotic tone for the observance.
