Gardner-Webb University’s annual Double Dawg Day is celebrating its ninth year on April 16. The campus community—along with alumni, friends, and longtime supporters—have an opportunity to surpass last year’s giving and score a record-breaking total for the ninth year in a row.

Donors can choose the people, programs and causes they want to support across the GWU campus. Some options include:

University Priority Fund, which supports the greatest needs of the University.

Annual Fund, which supports student scholarships.

School/College Priority Fund, which provides the dean with the ability to respond quickly to emerging opportunities, transform the student experience and strengthen operational capacity.

The University’s 22 athletic teams.

Become an Ambassador

In addition to making a gift, individuals can sign up to be a Social Media Ambassadors (also known as advocates this year). Social Media Ambassadors/Advocates share their love for Gardner-Webb on all of their social media channels. Registration will be available shortly.

We proudly celebrate students who have earned associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees across a wide range of academic programs. Gardner-Webb University salutes these graduates for their dedication, perseverance, and meaningful achievements in higher education.

Commencement will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, in LYCC.

Undergraduate Ceremony: 9 a.m.Graduate Ceremony: 2 p.m.Graduate students will be formally hooded during the ceremony. All participating graduates will have their names read and will walk across the stage.
