Homecoming at Gardner-Webb is more than a reunion—it's a celebration of the traditions, friendships, and Bulldog spirit that continue to unite generations of Runnin' Bulldogs. This year’s theme, “Our Roots Run Deep. Our Future Runs Bold.”, celebrates the legacy we share and the possibilities ahead. Whether you're returning to campus after a few years or a few decades, Homecoming is your opportunity to reconnect with classmates and friends, revisit the places that shaped your journey, and experience the exciting future of Gardner-Webb. As we honor the legacy that has defined our university since 1905, we also celebrate the students, faculty, and alumni who continue to shape what's next. The weekend begins on Friday evening as Bo's Battle 'Que teams fire up their grills in preparation for Saturday's competition, followed by the Gardner-Webb Athletics Hall of Fame Gala at 6:30 p.m., where we recognize outstanding Bulldog athletes and celebrate the rich tradition of Runnin' Bulldog athletics. On Saturday, campus comes alive with the Alumni &; Friends Tailgate, Tailgate Alley, the annual Homecoming Parade, and one of our favorite traditions—Homecoming football. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. as the Runnin' Bulldogs take on the Lindenwood Lions. During the game, we'll recognize our 2026 Homecoming Court and announce the winners of Bo's Battle 'Que. Preordered this year’s exclusive Homecoming T-shirt? Pick up your order during the Alumni & Friends Tailgate from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. at the practice soccer field across from Spangler Stadium. We're also excited to welcome back the Class of 1981 and the Class of 2016 as they celebrate milestone reunions with special class gatherings on Saturday evening. On Sunday, join the Gardner-Webb family for Worship at the Webb, a time of worship and fellowship before heading home.. Our roots run deep because of the generations of Bulldogs who came before us. Our future runs bold because of those who continue to answer the call to lead, serve, and make a difference. We can't wait to welcome you home.
