Lutz Yelton Convocation Center

We are now outside the Lutz-Yelton Convocation Center, or the LYCC – home to Paul Porter Arena and our student cheering section, the Dawg Pound. A stately Runnin’ Bulldog bronze sculpture greets fans and visitors. Weighing approximately 800 pounds, the monumental bulldog is over 4-feet tall and more than 6-feet long. Inside, you’ll find administrative offices for our 22 Division I teams. Here you can catch a basketball, volleyball, or wrestling match – all athletic events are free for students! Also located in the LYCC, the Dover Theatre hosts plays, recitals, and other performances throughout the year, including a student favorite, the Miss Gardner-Webb Pageant.
